They are in Kenya, East Africa, too. They proselyted and were paying people to attend their meetings and took pictures which they publish in their …whatever.Pentecostals and others attend their meetings, get paid for it, and when the meetings are over, they get back to their “religions” again. how hypocritical !!….. Sure, theirs is not a stand of righteousness. Stay encouraged in the Lord and live always in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus..

How does has this affected your marriage? Is that to personal. I know the restoration gets very personal, and it has to be hard to be told and considered not saved when you know from the Lord you are.

That must be obeyed in order to be a member? How about must be obeyed or you will go to hell. I disagreed with the Restorations anti-medical teaching and their teaching that they were the one true visible church and they cast me out like a dead dog, told me I was on my way to hell, and influenced my wife to believe that I was not saved and that I am an evil person.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for sharing this. It seems that fellowships tend to either go in the direction of leaving out key teachings of Christ, or like the group you were formerly with (I was in a similar fellowship myself) adds ‘rules and regulations’ not found in scripture, that must be obeyed in order to be a member. This is unfortunate. I appreciate your candor and I hope you continue to find hope and healing in Him.

Wow I just read what you had to say about the Church..I had been reading a lot of the material that they have..it is ver informative ..stuff that you dont get taught in a regular church,,, I once studied with the Jehovah witnesses ,they have a lot in common…after the initial study..I decided I didnt want to join cos I dont agree with all their teaching.. they called and called…lol but I guess they finally got the message.
What will you do now…as far as going to church..I have found that most religions are false..I guess it want get corrected till the Kingdome is established and Christ returns

hey Bob,

yup, sounds like you had the same problems with similar things we had problems with in the R.

Jeff and I are divorced and Jeff is remarried. I am living in Yellowknife, and I love it here. The north is great. There are a lot of people here I know from highschool. I’m working full time, which is a lot of fun. Better than staying home and going nuts staring at the walls!!

I’m the assistant manager at a coffee place similar to a large Starbucks. I also tutor a boy in grade six in the evenings.

Not sure where life is taking me, but I am very happy. My sons are doing great.

ok, well, take care and don’t stress about the R to much. Everything you said about them is true, plus a whole lot more…

Dear Bro. Bob, We are rejoicing with you in your liberty, especially when we hear you are encouraged and continuing to walk with the Lord. We have been back in Chwk for a year now. Happy to be back. Our three boys are living at home with us. we are glad to report that Curtis and Caleb have gotten saved in the past two years. There are a group of us who still meet together regularly and this fall the Lord has seen fit to send someone to minister here regularly from out of town. Just wanted you to know we are not gone off the deep end but are rejoicing in the God of salvation and his keeping grace. Heard you had some kind of website with daily postings. Would like to know the address. Keep hid away with Christ. He has power and grace for us to make it all the way to the other side. We long for all our dear brethren in there to be set free.

Thanks for sharing your story, Bob. I wish I knew what to say, but honestly, I’m at a place where nothing they do surprises me anymore. I’m sorry that you had to go through this. :( Honestly, some of those new teachings shock and horrify me, but again- not surprised.

May God’s comforting hand rest over you, and continue to lead you in the journey you’re on. :)
