Hi,
I came across your site and post because I'm doing research for an article I'm writing on John Keim's method of treating burns.
I went to his workshops a few years ago because I was curious. I had caught my hand on fire in the kitchen many years ago and still remember the horrific treatments and that was without grafting.
My Keim's wealth of info is phenomenal. He offers his classes primarily for the Plain communities but opens them up to anyone interested (such as myself). They are advertised by word of mouth. So if you are near an area with Mennonite or Amish you could ask around. Or, Keim's address, as well as his son's (where to order B&W) are in his book. I hope this helps.
And Jody, try the salve on your friends wound. I'm sure it will help.

I am a R.N. with 20 years experience on a surgical ward. Over the years we've had numerous burn patients. The regimen of narcotics, excrucating pain, and listening to blood curdling screams, all for the dressing change required twice a day for weeks and sometime months. I now work at an Amish clinic where I was introduced to John Keim's burn protocol. The diabetic patient sustained second degree burnes on her arm from the elbow down to the wrist. As the doctor started removing the old dressing, I was amazed that she had no pain and carried on an upbeat conversation. Nothing stuck to the wound and when all the B&W ointment was removed, it revealed beautiful pink skin with few blisters and no signs of infection. I will now take the training class for Mr. Keim's protocol for burns because I am a true convert from traditional medicine.

Hi Kate,

Would you be interesting in writing a review for this site of the class that you told and also of your personal experience. Also if you know others that have taken the classes I would be happy to see them make comments on this post. Also can you tell me more about the classes. Do you have an outline of the course or an advertisement of the course?

I took the burn care class with John Keim last week, and I have spent this week harvesting burdock leaves for future use. Several people at the class had already treated burns with the regimen, and they attested to rapid healing, no scarring, and little pain.
