Our Love For GodLove is always proven by actions. No rational-thinking person would ever believe a husband who says that he loves his wife after running off for a weekend of immorality at the bar.

Likewise, those who run with the devil and commit sin, no more love God than this poor unchaste man.

If your love for God goes no further than your lips, it is hypocrisy. If we truly love God, we will not only love his commandments, but we will by the grace of God keep them.

Those who refuse to keep God’s commandments don’t love Him, no matter what their lips say; “for this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments.”

Our Love For God:

Mar 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Joh 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Joh 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Joh 14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

Joh 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

1Co 16:22 If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.

1Jn 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

1Jn 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1Jn 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

1Jn 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

1Jn 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.

1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Jud 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Rev 2:4, 5 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works;

    Hi seoseeasy;
    I am sure you are aware of what a “me too” or “comment spam” is. While you may have read my post on “Our Love For God” and you may have been impressed by it, your post could have been added as a comment on any blog post in the whole world. What I do with “me too” posts is blank the URL field so your name doesn’t have link back to your site.

    The next time you post here, or any where else for that matter, try to make a relevant comment or ask a relevant question. That way I will know this was not just a comment blot posting a “me too” comment spam.

    Hi Bob, yes I agree with you if we have to force ourselves to Love and obey God what is the point that is not what He is wanting. If you forced me to Love you Bob, if that were possible, would you really feel Loved ?

    Someone said to me recently pray that God will change his heart so he will want to become a Christian … God won’t go against anyone’s free will but He tells us how to find Him if we are looking – Deuteronomy 4:28 & Jeremiah 29:12-14 and how our Love will be Deuteronomy 6:4-6 but it is always our choice to Ask…..Luke 11:9-13 and when we Ask… 1 John 5:14-15 He will hear and answer.

    True Love blossoms like a Rose, from a bud it burst forth and it’s fragrance fills the senses with a sweetness that diffuses in the heart with a song and can’t be removed lingering long… ever tried smelling a plastic Rose Bob.

    Matthew 13:44 The greatest Treasure in all our lives is knowing The Lord is in our Heart – because He is Love.

    Christian Love Anne.
