Hi Kathy Marr; Well I would encourage you to carry a small NT and do more reading.

Very cute.

Thank for provoking the idea of giving a NT to every child on my street. This is going to be fun. Perhaps I can start a children Bible study group. I love children and they seem to really love me.

Oh!! cute niece and nephew. I clicked on the name to see their picture.

When I was part of a Methodist church I had a little program where I bought a mailing list that contained all the new people to the community. I bought some Bibles they where called the HOPE Bible. I sent them to all the new people that where on the list. I made a pot holder to go in the package too. It was fun I did it for about a year.

The church I go to now is very dedicated to the Wycliffe bible translators. They are part of the missions we sponsor.

It's important to get the word of God out.

You know just yesterday I was going through some stuff in a desk and I found the very first Bible I had ever owned. I was in my teens when I got it. It's a small red New Testament with Psalms. There is something about the first Bible one is given that makes it special. I have heard that whenever we read the Bible it never goes back void.

(Isa 55:11) "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."

I certainly have said to myself ,,,"I should read the Bible more" and how I have wanted it in the waiting room many times..

Hi Kathy Marr; They also are very good when you are out and about. Lots of times I read it while waiting for what ever. Also I think all Christians should keep a few with them so they can give them to people that don't have a Bible. They are only $1.80 and they stand up very good when used.

I just gave a couple of them to my adorable nephew Dylan and niece Lara who both loved them. Dylan reported to me the next day he had read 5 chapters of Matthew already. Hrmm I think I am going to give them to all the children on my street.

I think it would come in handy when I am reading in bed before I go to sleep. My large Bible is a little heavey sometimes.
